Motor Vehicle Accidents in California
More than 2,900 people are injured in truck accidents throughout Southern California each year. Commercial vehicles can weigh up to 80,000 pounds, which means they have the potential to cause catastrophic injuries to victims involved in collisions. This is particularly true when victims are traveling in smaller vehicles. The mental, physical, and emotional consequences of bus and commercial vehicle accidents are often overwhelming. To make matters even worse, victims often face stacking medical bills, lost wages, and thousands of dollars in bills to replace or repair their vehicles. In some cases, victims have to stay off work for several months as they go through therapy and endure the long and painful recovery process. Although it would be nice if everyone was able to overcome their injuries, thousands of people are left with permanent impairments each year as a result of their injuries.
When victims are injured in collisions resulting from negligent and reckless drivers, they should reach out to a bus accident attorney in California as soon as possible. Victims may be entitled to compensation to help alleviate the financial burdens they face moving forward.
