Bakersfield, CA – Jack Christopher Shipley Killed in Motorcycle Crash on China Grade Loop
Bakersfield, CA (September 21, 2020) – A crash reported on Sunday evening in Bakersfield claimed one victim’s life. Just after 8:15 p.m., on September 20, the California Highway Patrol responded to the site of a crash on China Grade Loop.
Reports show that a motorcycle and a Buick were involved in a collision on China Grade Loop just north of the Alfred Harrell Highway. Investigations found that 51-year-old Jack Christopher Shipley was riding a Suzuki 600 motorcycle sound on China Grade Loop when a Buick pulled into his lane from the shoulder and collided with the cyclist.
The impact of the crash caused the rider to be ejected, resulting in fatal injuries. Emergency crews arrived at the scene of the accident and declared the victim deceased. No other injuries were reported in this accident.
Investigations surrounding the crash are currently underway with the California Highway Patrol.
