Bakersfield, CA – Woman Struck & Killed by Big Rig on CA-58
Bakersfield, CA (October 12, 2020) – A vehicle crash on Sunday evening claimed one woman’s life. On October 11, the California Highway Patrol responded to the site of a crash on California State Highway 58.
Reports show that a 23-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of California State Highway 58 and Mount Vernon Avenue when she was struck by a big rig in the eastbound lanes of the highway. After the initial collision, the woman was thrown out into the highway where she was struck by several other passing vehicles.
The woman sustained fatal injuries in the crash. CHP troopers responded to the site and pronounced the woman deceased. No other injuries were reported in this accident.
