Fresno, CA – Adalila Cruz-Rojas Killed in Car Crash on Garfield Ave
Fresno, CA (October 9, 2020) – An accident in Fresno County claimed one woman’s life on Thursday morning. At approximately 11:45 a.m., on October 8, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Garfield Avenue.
Reports from CHP show that 41-year-old Adalila Cruz-Rojas was driving a Honda Civic north on Garfield Avenue. As Cruz-Rojas passed through the intersection with McKinley Avenue, her vehicle collided with a Dodge Caravan. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage as a result of the crash.
Adalila Cruz-Rojas was killed instantly in the accident. The driver of the Caravan, identified as 66-year-old Theresa Martinez-Pena, was seriously injured in the accident. She was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported in this accident. Crews spent several hours at the scene of the crash initiating preliminary investigations.
At this time, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
