Bakersfield, CA – Two Killed in Car Crash on Union Ave
Bakersfield, CA (January 31, 2021) – An automobile accident reported early Sunday morning claimed the lives of two people in the Bakersfield area. Just after 2 a.m., on January 31, emergency crews received a request to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident on Union Avenue.
Reports provided by the Bakersfield Police Department show that a rear-end collision occurred on Union Avenue at the intersection with Brundage Lane. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles out into the intersection where they were struck by a third vehicle.
Two people involved in the crash were fatally injured. Crews arrived at the scene and pronounced the two victims deceased. Two others were transported to Kern Medical Center for the treatment of critical injuries.
At this time, the Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
