Bakersfield, CA – Serious Injury Crash at Planz Rd and Wible Rd
Bakersfield, CA (February 22, 2021) – Officers with the Bakersfield Police Department are currently investigating the cause of an auto accident that took place in south Bakersfield early this morning, Monday, February 22. Authorities were dispatched to the corner of Planz Road and Wible Road at approximately 2:18 a.m.
Upon their arrival at the scene, they found two motor vehicles had been involved in a collision. The force of the impact caused both vehicles to flip over.
Witnesses succeeded in turning one of the vehicles back over, though once upright, that vehicle began smoking. Two individuals were trapped inside the car and required extrication by fire crews. One other individual also required extrication from the other vehicle involved in the crash.
Transportation via ambulance to local area hospitals was provided to those in need of emergency medical attention.
Authorities in Bakersfield continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this crash.
