Fresno, CA – Passenger Injured in High Speed Crash at Swift Ave & Barton Ave
Fresno, CA (February 27, 2021) – A high-speed chase ended in an accident in northeast Fresno on Thursday, February 25. At approximately 11:00 p.m., police apprehended and pulled over a white Hyundai. Upon approaching the vehicle, it sped off.
Police pursued the vehicle and a high-speed chase ensued, reaching 90 miles per hour. A Fresno police helicopter joined in the pursuit and followed the Hyundai to the intersection of Swift and Barton.
The vehicle crashed into a parked car at the intersection and the driver attempted to flee the scene on foot. The female passenger was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries she sustained while attempting to exit the vehicle while it was still moving.
