Fresno, CA – One Person Hurt after Crash on Hwy 180 near Abby St
Fresno, CA (March 28, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after they were involved in a multi-car accident that took place in central Fresno on the evening of Saturday, March 27. Just before 5:00 p.m., responders took a call concerning a serious traffic accident on Highway 180 in the eastbound lanes.
According to reports, the wreck occurred on Highway 180 just west of Abby Street for currently unknown reasons. Officials with the California Highway Patrol stated that a black SUV was driving at a high rate of speed when they swerved to the left and struck a smaller black SUV. The first SUV then spun out of control and struck an embankment and slid down it.
The driver was transported from the scene to Community Regional Medical Center with serious injures. Other individuals who were involved in the crash were also transported to the hospital with injuries.
No one involved has been identified at this time. Police continue to investigate.
