Stockton, CA – Five Killed, Including Two Children, in Fatal Traffic Crash on I-5 north of Roth Road
Stockton, CA (March 12, 2021) – Five people have lost their lives after a fatal traffic crash took place on an interstate in French Camp near Stockton on Thursday, March 11. Police state that the driver who caused the crash may have been impaired.
According to reports, a 1997 Toyota was traveling north on Interstate 5 when for unknown reasons, the vehicle careened into a tree. Investigators believe that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the collision.
The driver, identified as a 33-year-old male, as well as four passengers, a 42-year-old woman, and three others including two children, all lost their lives in the crash. Three were pronounced deceased at the scene while two others succumbed to their injuries later at local medical centers.
Their identities have not been disclosed to the public at this time as police continue to investigate the circumstances of the wreck. The area of I-5 near Roth Road where the collision took place was closed while responders worked to clear the scene.
