Bakersfield, CA (April 15, 2021) – A man in a wheelchair sustained injuries when he was hit by a truck on Tuesday, April 13th in Bakersfield.
Sources reported that the crash took place at about 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Avenue and North Chester Avenue when a pedestrian in a wheelchair was struck by a pick-up truck as he attempted to cross the roadway.
The pedestrian sustained major injuries during the collision and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital.
The truck’s driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
