Fresno, CA – David Cordova Santiago Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Hwy 180 & Fowler Ave
Fresno, CA (May 7, 2021) – David Cordova Santiago, 19, lost his life in a fatal pedestrian-involved traffic collision at an intersection in Fresno on Wednesday, May 6.
The incident, according to officials, occurred on Highway 180 near Fowler Avenue for reasons still being investigated. It was reported to authorities at approximately 10:20 p.m. on May 6. Information from officials states that a vehicle with three occupants pulled over to the side of the road for unknown reasons.
Afterward, the 19-year-old male exited the vehicle and entered lanes of the freeway. After that, a 39-year-old male driver fatally struck Santiago. Police and paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the incident took place.
No one else involved has been identified to the public at this time. Police continue to investigate.
