Contra Costa, CA – Fatal Wreck Takes One Life, Sends Others to Hospital on Sellers Ave near Delta Rd
Contra Costa, CA (June 18, 2021) – A teenage male, aged 16, lost his life on Wednesday, June 17 in a fatal traffic accident in Contra Costa. Two other people were hospitalized due to the wreck that occurred on the evening of Wednesday, June 16.
The incident was reported to have been a head-on collision that took place on Sellers Avenue near Delta Road. It was approximately 5:40 p.m. when an Acura sedan and a Ford pickup were involved in a collision in the area, according to police.
The driver of the Acura, identified as a 16-year-old male from Brentwood, lost his life at the scene of the accident. His sole passenger, a 15-year-old boy, was rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The pickup’s driver, a 19-year-old male from Discovery Bay, required hospitalization for injuries deemed major in nature.
Police in Contra Costa continue to investigate.
