Bakersfield Motorcycle Accidents

Over 500 people lose their lives due to motorcycle accidents in California each year. An additional 14,000 motorcyclists sustain severe injuries in these collisions annually. Due to the fact that motorcyclists are not protected during accidents, the risk for severe injury or death becomes even higher in the case of a wreck. This drastically increases their chances of broken bones, brain injuries, and debilitating spinal cord injuries that demand extensive and costly medical treatment. To make matters even worse, injured motorcyclists are often forced out of work for several months or even years as they recover.

If you or someone you love has sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle collision, you will probably be contacted by insurance companies who pose to be on your side. The truth is, they are attempting to encourage you to accept meager settlement offers as quickly as possible. Accepting an offer from an insurance company may not be in your best interest. Quite often, insurance companies offer the minimum amount of compensation to accident victims as a way to encourage them to sign over their legal rights. This often prevents victims from getting the compensation they need for medical treatment, lost wages, and various other costs they face from their accidents. Instead, it is crucial to reach out to a motorcycle accident attorney in California as soon as possible. You may have options available to help you move forward after being harmed in an accident.
