Motorcycle Collisions in Oildale
In California, more than 500 people lose their lives in motorcycle accidents each year. Additionally, 14,000 riders are left to endure pain and suffering due to their crash-related injuries. In a collision, motorcycle riders are totally unprotected, which greatly increases their odds of sustaining serious injuries like traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and crippling spinal cord injuries that will need expensive and lengthy medical care. What’s worse, injured riders are often physically unable to work for months or even years as they recover.
If you have sustained injuries in a motorcycle collision, you will most likely be contacted by insurance adjusters who want you to accept a lowball settlement as quickly as possible. Speaking with the insurance companies is never in your best interest without the assistance of an attorney, especially in the event that your crash was indeed caused by negligence. Usually, insurance companies offer the minimum amount of financial compensation to collision victims as a way to get them to sign over their legal rights to pursue additional damages.
Once they sign, the victim is prevented from continuing to seek the monetary compensation they need for medical care, lost income, and the many other costs they will eventually face arising from their accidents.
