Bakersfield, CA – DUI Accident Causes Injuries on E 19th & Kern St
Bakersfield, CA (August 1, 2021) – An injury crash occurred on a roadway in east Bakersfield on the afternoon of Saturday, July 31. Various responders were sent to assist those at the scene.
The collision reportedly occurred on East 19th and Kern Streets at approximately 4:45 p.m. Two cars were said to be involved in the wreck and one of the drivers were suspected of driving while intoxicated.
Both involved drivers were seriously injured in the crash. One was listed as being in critical condition at the hospital. Authorities in Bakersfield continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
Delays in traffic were observed for an extended period of time in the area the wreck happened. Drivers were forced to use alternative travel routes for the time being.
