Fresno, CA – Police Investigate Pedestrian Fatality on Cedar Ave
Fresno, CA (August 26, 2021) – Officers from the Fresno Police Department were called to investigate after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver in southeast Fresno on Thursday, August 26th.
Officials reported that a man in his 60s was hit at about 6:45 a.m. on Cedar Avenue between Woodward Avenue and Hamilton Avenue.
The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services to a local hospital. He eventually passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
Officers closed down Cedar Avenue and worked to determine what caused the accident. Additional details were not immediately available.
Police say the driver stayed at the scene and has cooperated with the investigation.
