Antioch, CA – Multi-Car Crash Takes 1 Life on Hwy 4 near Hillcrest Ave
Antioch, CA (September 11, 2021) – One person lost their life in a fatal traffic accident reported in Antioch on the afternoon of Friday, September 10. Sources indicate that the wreck occurred at around 1:38 p.m. between multiple vehicles.
According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 4 near Hillcrest Avenue. Investigators said four vehicles were involved in the crash that took the life of one individual.
At this time, no one involved has been identified. Details concerning the crash indicate that the driver of a white Infiniti G37 was traveling between a semi-truck and a white Chevrolet Tahoe when the Chevrolet and the Infiniti collided.
The Chevrolet’s driver lost control and crashed into a guardrail. A semi-truck then struck the Chevrolet and then was hit by a Toyota Corolla. The driver of the Chevrolet was identified as a Tahoe man, aged 56.
The 56-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol. No one else was transported to the hospital, according to reports.
Police investigating the incident stated that it does not appear that intoxication played a factor in the collision, however, they continue to investigate the circumstances of the wreck.
