Bakersfield, CA – Nealson Carlos Hanner Identified as Victim of Fatal Crash on I-5
Bakersfield, CA (September 09, 2021) – One man was killed during a car accident on Interstate 5, in the area of 7th Standard Road in Buttonwillow.
Officers responded to the two-truck collision on Tuesday, September 7th at about 7:20 a.m.
CHP said that the Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up truck was driving northbound on Interstate 5 when it rear-ended a white Toyota Tacoma, causing the Ram to swerve and overturn.
The Dodge also overturned, struck a fence, and came to an uncontrolled stop in an agriculture field. The driver of the truck was ejected.
The victim, who has since been identified as 32-year-old Nealson Carlos Hanner, a resident of Bakersfield, died at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was released from the scene.
