Kern County, CA – Rollover Crash Injures Three Children on Hwy 99 near Kimberlina Rd

Torem & Associates

Kern County, CA (September 15, 2021) – A rollover accident reported in Kern County resulted in the serious injury of three toddlers on the afternoon of September 15, Wednesday. The children, ages 2 to 4, were ejected from the vehicle, according to reports.

Information provided by the California Highway Patrol states that a tire separation on the SUV the kids were riding in caused it to exit the roadway and turn over. One child required transportation by helicopter to an area hospital while the other two were transported via ambulance.

CHP states that there were no seatbelts being used and no carseats in the car at the time of the collision. They stress the importance of safely securing children in car seats while inside vehicles.

The wreck remains under local law enforcement investigation at this time. No further information has been reported.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their family members in hopes of a full and speedy recovery.

Kern County Car Wrecks

Car accidents in the state of California happen frequently. Being one of the top three most populated states in the nation, the Golden State sees more car accidents than nearly any other state. Those involved in serious accidents often suffer serious and sometimes debilitating injuries. Depending on the severity of the wreck, victims can be affected by their injuries for days, weeks, or even years after their accidents occur. Some peoples’ lives are changed forever due to major car accidents.

Unfortunately, almost all of the car accidents that take place in the United States happen due to some form of driver negligence. Driver negligence comes in many forms, including fatigue, intoxication, and distraction. Currently, the leading type of distraction is cell phone usage, specifically texting or using social media behind the wheel. No matter how quickly you look at your phone, you could be putting yourself and others at risk for serious injury or even death.
