Auto Accidents in Bakersfield

Over 3,400 people lose their lives each year in traffic accidents in California. These accidents are often preventable, yet more than 80% of accidents occur as a result of another driver’s reckless or negligent actions. The leading causes of crashes in our state include driving while impaired, careless driving, speeding, distracted driving, and disregarding traffic control devices. In many cases, families of those killed are left to deal with overwhelming mental and emotional consequences while trying to pick up the pieces of their lives and move forward.

Truck accidents specifically take the lives of more than 2,900 people each year. Commercial vehicles can weigh up to 80,000 pounds, which means they have the potential to cause catastrophic injuries to victims involved in collisions. This is particularly true when victims are traveling in smaller vehicles. The mental, physical, and emotional consequences of semi-truck accidents are often overwhelming. To make matters even worse, victims often face stacking medical bills, lost wages, and thousands of dollars in bills to replace or repair their vehicles. When victims are injured in collisions resulting from negligent and reckless drivers, they should reach out to a truck accident attorney in Bakersfield as soon as possible. Victims may be entitled to compensation to help alleviate the financial burdens they face moving forward.
