Bakersfield, CA – Pedestrian Hit, Killed in Crash on 34th St
Bakersfield, CA (November 11, 2021) – Bakersfield police think alcohol might have been a factor in an accident that killed a pedestrian in Bakersfield on Wednesday, November 10th.
Police were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of O Street and 34th Street for reports of a pedestrian hit by a car. Upon their arrival, police found bystanders performing CPR on the woman. Despite their efforts, she died at the scene.
The driver suspected of striking the woman stayed at the scene. An official said alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
The woman will be identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office at a later time.
