Bakersfield, CA – Miguel Condelle Killed in Collision With Tractor-Trailer on Hwy 37
Bakersfield, CA (December 30, 2021) – A man from Bakersfield was killed on Thursday, December 30th in a traffic collision on Highway 37.
The victim has since been identified as 30-year-old Miguel Condelle.
According to sources, at about 11:30 a.m., a Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling westbound Highway 37 when the driver happened upon slow-moving traffic. He veered to the right and crashed into a concrete barrier, a Chevy Silverado, a Toyota Camry, and a Tesla Model 3.
The tractor-trailer then struck the concrete center median and drove into oncoming traffic where it collided with a Dodge Ram.
Debris damaged an Infinity that was also traveling eastbound.
The driver of the Toyota, 32-year-old Rogelio Cardenas, a resident of Brentwood, was taken to Sutter Solano Hospital with non-critical injuries.
The driver of the Dodge, later identified as Condelle, died at the scene.
The truck operator, 45-year-old David Jones, a resident of Vacaville, was unharmed during the crash.
