Modesto, CA – Three Injured in DUI Collision on S Ninth St near Wisenor Ave
Modesto, CA (December 27, 2021) – A vehicle accident left three people with injuries in Modesto on Tuesday, December 21. The incident happened around 5:35 p.m. on South Ninth Street near Wisenor Avenue.
One person was also arrested on suspicion of DUI due to the wreck. Reports show that a Dodge Ram towing a two-axle flatbed trailer was legally parked outside of an auto recycling business when a man exited the left rear passenger seat to enter the business.
Police said that almost immediately after the man exited the vehicle, a Honda Accord crashed into the Dodge’s driver side. The point of impact on the Dodge matched where the left rear passenger was seated, according to reports.
Primary investigations show that the Honda drove up the flatbed trailer and crashed into the rear window of the Dodge. Three other people present inside the Dodge at the time were injured, though their injuries were described as minor in nature.
The driver of the Honda, identified as a male from Modesto, age 58, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Additional information concerning this vehicle crash in Modesto has not been made immediately available at this time.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the details of the crash.
