Turlock, CA – A car crash on Carpenter Road in Turlock leaves one dead and one injured
TURLOCK, Calif (December 28, 2021) –On the night of Monday, December 20, 2021, a fatal crash occurred along Carpenter Road in the Turlock area, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Approximately 11:00 p.m., a traffic collision occurred at Monte Vista Avenue and Carpenter Road.

CHP reports that a Chevrolet and a Nissan were involved in the accident in Turlock. Chevrolet was traveling eastbound on Monte Vista Avenue and Nissan was traveling southbound on Carpenter Road. Nissan’s right front side allegedly struck the left front side of the Chevrolet.
As a result of the collision, the Chevrolet allegedly overturned several times. The Chevrolet’s occupants were ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the Nissan, a 44-year-old Modesto man, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The passenger of the Chevrolet, a 25-year-old woman, was also seriously injured.
The Chevrolet driver died at the scene due to their injuries. According to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office, the decedent was 33-year-old Russell Bennett of Modesto. The cause of the fatal accident has not yet been determined. Authorities suspect alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
