Fresno, CA – Man dies after crashing his truck into palm tree
Fresno, CA (February 2, 2022) – According to California Highway Patrol officers, a man died after hitting a palm tree near Kearney Park late Sunday night.
Around 11:20 p.m., officers reported the crash in the vicinity of Kearney Boulevard and Garfield Avenue.
Authorities say a pickup truck driven by a 28-year-old Fresno man was driving westbound on Kearney Boulevard, east of Garfield Avenue.
According to the CHP, the driver allowed his truck to steer to the right on the dirt shoulder for undetermined reasons. Authorities say the driver of the truck was killed when he struck a large palm tree head-on.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to have played a role in this collision, according to the CHP.
