GRANADA HILLS, CA – Officials said a motorcyclist died in an accident in Granada Hills on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department and Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred in the 12200 block of Balboa Boulevard, near the intersection with Pineridge Drive and Jolette Avenue.
According to the LAPD, the motorcyclist was dead when the LAFD arrived, having run a red light and colliding with a pickup truck.
The driver of the other vehicle remained on the scene and attempted to assist the motorcyclist before he was taken to a hospital and later released, according to the LAPD.
