Redding, CA – 3 cars collided on Interstate 5 in Redding Friday night, leaving 1 injured, 1 dead
REDDING, CA – A fatal three-car accident occurred around 9:18 p.m. Friday night on Interstate 5 north of Market Street in Redding. Redding CHP reports that Randall James Lewis, 69, of Bella Vista, drove the wrong way, southbound, in the median of Interstate 5.
A car driven by Devyn Zeno Lewis, 51, of Shasta Lake, collided head-on with Randall Lewis’ car when he crossed into the northbound lane. As a result of the impact, Devyn Lewis’ car was forced to the right, where it collided with Gurtej Singh Sidhu’s car.
Medical personnel declared Randall Lewis dead at the scene. Devin Lewis suffered major injuries and was taken to Mercy Medical Center. According to Redding CHP, Sidhu had no known injuries.
