Tulare, CA – Police report a fatal hit-and-run crash
TULARE, CA – According to the Tulare Police Department, a man died following a hit-and-run on Monday night.
Several officers were dispatched to the area of J Street and Tulare Avenue around 8:30 p.m. after it was reported that a pedestrian had been hit by a car. Officers found a man with serious injuries on the roadway, who was 62 years old.
Bystanders began to administer first aid to the man before he was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Police say they learned that the victim was walking across the street without using the crosswalk when he was struck.
Police say the driver who struck the victim did not stop or call for help after the crash.
