Fresno County, CA – A naked man was hit and killed on Highway 99, according to the CHP
FRESNO COUNTY, CA – According to California Highway Patrol officers, a car struck and killed a naked man on Highway 99 in central Fresno Thursday night. Approximately 10:00 p.m., the CHP received reports of a vehicle crashing into a median wall and a pedestrian running in the lanes of traffic on Highway 99 at Belmont Avenue.
CHP officers say they found an abandoned crashed vehicle just south of Highway 180 on northbound Highway 99. An unclothed man was observed walking on Highway 99 near Belmont Avenue by CHP officers. He ran towards the center divider wall when CHP units arrived to assist him.
A vehicle struck the naked man after he climbed over a wall and directly into the path of approaching traffic on Highway 99. The victim passed away on the scene. Toxicology results are pending in order to determine if drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the pedestrian’s death.
