Clovis, CA – The 87-year-old women killed in the shopping center has been identified
CLOVIS, CA – Authorities have named the lady who was murdered over the weekend after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a shopping center in Clovis. According to representatives of the Fresno County Sheriff-Office, Coroner’s Patricia Nelson, 87, passed away after being struck by a car in the Sunflower Marketplace parking lot close to Shaw and Villa avenues.
Officers were called to the retail center about 11:00 a.m. on Saturday when it was discovered that someone had been struck by a car. Nelson was discovered by the responding cops pinned beneath a car.
Nelson was rescued by firefighters from underneath the car, and after being taken in critical condition to a nearby hospital, she was transported there. Nelson passed away from her wounds shortly after, according to investigators.
The driver is assisting the inquiry, according to the officers.
