Fresno, CA – A woman was hospitalized after she crashed into a semi-truck
FRESNO, CA – According to the California Highway Patrol, a fast driver was ejected from her vehicle and sent to the hospital early on Saturday morning after colliding with a large truck. Just after 5:00 a.m., according to police, they were summoned to the scene of an injury crash on State Route 180, east of Clovis Avenue. They claim that is where they discovered Fresno resident Ceara Eldride, 19, who was suffering from injuries sustained when her Hyundai Elantra collided with a Peterbuilt semi-truck trailer.
According to investigators, Fresno resident Keith Miller, 62, was operating the vehicle when it was in the far right lane of Highway 180. Eldride, who was also in that lane at the time, approached the semi-truck at what police claim was a dangerous pace.
She couldn’t stop in time, so her car caught up to the Peterbuilt and slammed into the back of it. She was thrown out of her automobile as a result, according to the police. Eldride was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, according to the police. Major wounds were present when she was taken to a nearby hospital.
According to the CHP, neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have been a factor in this collision.
