Fresno, CA – Two cars collide as a result of a power outage
FRESNO, CA – According to authorities, two people were injured in a collision between two SUVs on Tuesday just before 9:00 p.m. The two vehicles did not come to a complete stop before entering the intersection where there was a power outage, according to the police, which is where the accident occurred on Tulare Street and Chestnut Avenue.
The two cars kept going through the intersection and collided, with one of them ending up in the front yard of a house. Then, the car’s passengers were taken to the hospital. There were no injuries reported by passengers in the second car.
According to authorities, the accident occurred as a result of the blackout; PG&E has been busy today fixing power outages across the city. The outages’ connection to the weather is yet unknown.
The crash is being further investigated by police.
