CLOVIS, CA – According to the Clovis Fire Department, a truck that was traveling through town Wednesday morning smashed into a house, striking a gas line.
Around 8:00 a.m., the collision occurred close to 8th and Pollasky Avenue. According to Clovis Fire, a truck lost control for an unexplained cause and struck a house, hitting a gas line. According to officials, the gas meter was wrenched off and set on fire, severely damaging the house and the truck.
The driver and the passenger were sent to a nearby hospital with burn injuries. At the time of the collision, nobody was home.
