Fresno, CA – A speeding car collides with a truck in Fresno, resulting in one death
FRESNO, CA – According to the Fresno Police Department, a truck and a car collided on Blackstone Avenue in Central Fresno, killing one person.
According to police, the collision happened on Monday at or around 1:30 p.m. near Blackstone Avenue and San Jose Avenue. The Dodge Charger’s driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Dodge Charger struck the red pickup while it was moving quickly northbound on Blackstone Avenue and nearing San Jose Avenue. The Dodge was involved in an accident that sent it spinning into the southbound lanes of Blackstone Avenue, where it collided with a black pickup.
Minor wounds were sustained by the other two drivers. One was taken to the hospital for medical attention. The Dodge was allegedly racing a pickup vehicle northbound on Blackstone Avenue, according to witness accounts. Investigators are trying to figure out who was driving the car.
