Bakersfield, CA – Valeria Gonzalez Vargas Killed in crash on S Chester Ave
Bakersfield, CA (October 25, 2020) – An auto accident reported in the Bakersfield area claimed one woman’s life on Sunday. At approximately 8:41 a.m., on October 25, the Bakersfield Police Department responded to the site of a vehicle collision on south Chester Avenue.
Reports provided by authorities show that 30-year-old Valeria Gonzalez Vargas was driving on South Chester Avenue when her vehicle collided with a second unidentified vehicle at the intersection with Belle Terrace.
The crash caused significant damage to Vargas’s vehicle. Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident and discovered Vargas with severe injuries. She was provided treatment at the scene and rushed to Kern Medical. Authorities confirmed that the woman succumbed to her injuries later in the evening.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
