Manteca, CA – Woman Fatally Struck by Train on Airport Way

Manteca, CA (October 24, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Thursday claimed one woman’s life in the Manteca area. At approximately 11:30 a.m., on October 21, the Manteca Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a collision on Airport Way.

Reports show that a female in her 30s was crossing the tracks on Airport Way near Louise Avenue when she was struck by a Union Pacific train. The impact of the collision sent the woman approximately 200-feet from the scene of the accident.

Medical personnel arrived at the scene with the police. Upon locating the woman, she was immediately pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries. No one on the train sustained injuries as a result of this accident.

At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway with the police in Manteca.
