Bakersfield, CA – Fatal Wreck Takes One Life on Magnolia Ave & Merced Ave
Bakersfield, CA (June 9, 2021) – On the afternoon of Monday, June 7, a Wasco man, age 34, lost his life in a two-car collision that happened at an intersection in Bakersfield. The incident occurred at around 12:00 p.m. near Magnolia Avenue.
According to reports, the wreck occurred on Magnolia Avenue near Merced Avenue when a pickup truck and a big rig collided. The semi-truck was headed south on Magnolia when it stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Merced.
The Wasco man was headed east on Merced in a 2015 Toyota just west of Magnolia when he collided with the semi-truck as it headed out into the intersection. Police have not provided further details concerning the incident at this time.
No one involved has been identified to the public. Authorities continue to investigate.
