Fresno, CA – Multi-Car Accident Takes Life of Israel Lara on Hwy 180 near Oliver Ave
Fresno, CA (August 13, 2021) – Israel Lara lost their life in a fatal traffic accident that happened on a roadway in Fresno on the afternoon of Saturday, August 7. The collision occurred at around 2:20 p.m., according to reports.
Sources indicate that the wreck happened on Highway 180 near Oliver Avenue for reasons still under local police investigation. Lara, aged 60, was headed south on Oliver Avenue in their grey Ford Escort when they entered the westbound lanes of the highway.
A Ford Econoline headed west was then involved in a collision with Lara as well as a white Hyundai Tucson. The Ecoline spun out before overturning and stopping on the north shoulder.
The Hyundai then struck the driver-side of the Escort. Consequently, Lara was severely injured and later pronounced deceased. The other involved occupants suffered injuries and were transported to nearby medical centers for treatment. Their names have not been released at this time.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
