Bicycle Accidents in Stockton

Traffic-related incidents take the lives of over 900 people per year in the state of California. Due to a drastic increase in pedestrian activity, including people jogging, walking, and riding their bikes, it comes as no surprise that the fatality rate associated with pedestrian collisions has continued to rise. Today, it is 25% higher than the national average. Regardless of how many actions are taken to protect pedestrians traveling through our state, the number of deaths each year continues to rise.

Usually, pedestrians are hit by cars being operated by reckless, distracted, and impaired drivers. It is possible to be vigilant in order to protect others sharing the road with us, however, there is no guarantee that other motorists are going to offer us the same careful consideration while behind the wheel of their vehicle. Consequently, numerous people are fatally wounded as a result of these accidents. Surviving family members are often overwhelmingly impacted by these events, those who are left to endure the mental, physical, and financial challenges of an unexpected loss. When victims are killed in auto accidents as a result of another person’s actions, it is crucial that their families contact a Stockton wrongful death lawyer as soon as possible.
