Bakersfield, CA (October 18, 2021) – A man identified as Eleazar Rivera Mejia, 32, of Arvin, lost his life in a head-on crash with a semi-truck in Bakersfield on Saturday, October 16. The incident was reported to local authorities just before 7:00 p.m.
Reports indicate that Mejia’s vehicle was headed south on Comanche Drive near Hermosa Road at an unknown speed when, for unknown reasons, it was involved in a head-on crash with an on-coming semi. Information from the California Highway Patrol states that Mejia was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
