Fresno, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Train Near N. Palm Ave
Fresno, CA (December 16, 2021) – On Sunday, December 12th, a male pedestrian was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in the area of North Palm Avenue in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at about 8:30 p.m. on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad tracks.
First responders were dispatched to the area near Dakota Avenue and North Palm Avenue.
Due to the force of the impact, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, the Fresno officials are still working to identify the deceased as Amtrak work to identify the circumstances surrounding the accident.
