Modesto, CA – At Least One Killed in Vehicle Crash involving Semi on Hwy 132 near Gates Rd
Modesto, CA (December 22, 2021) – At least one person was killed in an auto crash that happened on a highway in Modesto on Tuesday, December 21. First responders including police, firefighters, and paramedics were dispatched to the scene to help those involved.
The wreck occurred along Highway 32 near Gates Road at approximately 6:11 p.m. A semi-truck and a Honda Civic were reportedly involved in the crash. Both vehicles came to rest at the northeast corner of the intersection.
One individual was trapped inside one of the vehicles and required emergency extrication by fire crews. At approximately 6:45 p.m. the coroner was called to the site of the incident.
The westbound lane of the highway as well as Gates Road were closed while responders worked to assist those involved. No one involved has currently been identified. Police in Modesto continue to investigate.
