Phelan, CA – Barry Alan Absec Killed in Head-On Truck Accident on Hwy 138
Phelan, CA (January 24, 2022) – On Wednesday, January 19th, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene of a fatal two-vehicle collision on Highway 138.
The victim, who has since been identified as 40-year-old Barry Alan Absec, a resident of Chino, was driving on Highway 138 in the area of Sheep Creek Road and Highway 2 at about 6:15 a.m. when his Ford F-150 pick-up truck was hit head-on by a tractor-trailer.
Despite life-saving rescue measures, Absec was pronounced dead at the scene.
