Victorville, CA – One Injured in Accident Involving Overturned Tractor-Trailer on 15 Fwy Near Mojave Dr
Victorville, CA (January 24, 2022) – An accident caused a tractor-trailer to roll over and trap the driver inside on Sunday, January 23rd in Victorville.
At about 9:30 a.m., the Victorville Fire Department and California Highway Patrol both responded to the scene in the southbound lanes of the 15 freeway near the Mojave Drive off-ramp.
Upon their arrival, first responders located the tractor-trailer lying on its side in an embankment with oil leaking out of it.
The truck’s operator was trapped in the cab. It took firefighters about 40 minutes to extricate the driver.
The area was temporarily closed down as a medical helicopter landed to transport the driver to a medical facility.
The extent of the victim’s injuries has not been released.
A Hazmat team was on the scene for fuel cleanup.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Victorville CHP office.
