Sanger, CA – Major injuries reported in 2-vehicle crash outside Sanger
SANGER, CA – After a two-vehicle collision south of Sanger on Monday that resulted in an SUV crashing into a power pole, one person was flown to the hospital with major injuries. The incident took place near Greenwood and American avenues in Fresno County. A GMC Acadia traveling southbound failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a Jeep Liberty, causing the Jeep to strike a power pole.
Several passengers were thrown from the GMC Acadia because not all of them were wearing seat belts. Four more people were transported by ground ambulance. One of the people inside was flown to the hospital by helicopter.
According to the CHP, the Jeep Liberty driver was also arrested for DUI.
The crash brought down a power pole, prompting PG&E to act.
