Hesperia, CA – A multi-vehicle accident on Summit Valley Road resulted in 2 people being airlifted
HESPERIA, CA – Three people were critically injured in a multi-vehicle accident along Summit Valley Road on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred in Hesperia about 3 miles west of the airport at about 6:35 pm on July 6, 2022. An orange Jeep Rubicon, a white Honda Civic, and a white Subaru were involved in the crash.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene and reported that there were four injuries on site. The injuries to two of them were critical, and the injuries to the other two were less severe. There was a pregnant woman among the injured. Firefighters requested landings at Hesperia Airport for two helicopters. One patient was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center by Reach 13 and the other to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center by a CHP helicopter.
The road was closed in both directions for approximately two hours while officers investigated and towed the vehicles.
Currently, the California Highway Patrol Victorville station is investigating the cause of the accident.
