Bonsall, CA – During an accident on I-15, a sedan slammed into a semi, killing a passenger
BONSALL, CA – On Thursday, a Baldwin Park teen was killed and another was seriously hurt when the sedan they were riding in collided with a disabled tractor-trailer next to Interstate 15.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 19-year-old driver of a southbound Honda Civic lost control of the vehicle for an unexplained reason at Old Highway 395 in Bonsall at around 7:15 a.m. According to CHP public relations officer Hunter Gerber, the automobile rammed into the back of the parked large truck, killing the 18-year-old boy who was in the passenger seat. Unknown at the time, the passenger passed away at the scene of the collision.
The sedan’s driver was transported by helicopter to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the truck, a 32-year-old Riverside man, reported no injuries, Gerber said.
Investigators said they have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the deadly crash
