Napa, CA – A man from Angwin died in a truck collision near Napa
NAPA, CA – An Angwin man was killed recently when a box truck and a vehicle collided north of Napa. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at about 11:42 a.m. along Silverado Trail close to Oakville Cross Road (CHP). A Ford Ranger pickup being driven by an Angwin man, 83, rear-ended a large vehicle that was being driven by a 41-year-old Benicia man who was reportedly slowing down to make a turn.
The family has not yet been informed, thus the Angwin man’s name has not yet been disclosed. The crash did not result in any injuries for the Benicia-born box truck driver or his passenger. Between Skellenger Lane and Oakville Cross Road, Silverado Trail was shut down in both directions as the site of the collision was investigated. Up until roughly 2:00 p.m., Highway 29 was used as a detour for local traffic. The CHP is looking into the crash to see what went wrong.
