Fresno, CA – Police report pedestrian killed in collision with at least one vehicle
FRESNO, CA – A pedestrian was killed in an accident that Fresno Police are looking into early on Saturday morning. Around 12:40 in the morning, according to the police, they received word of the event and went to the intersection of Belmont and Echo Avenues. When the police arrived, they discovered a female pedestrian who was reportedly in her 50s laying in the road.
According to investigators, the car’s driver stayed at the site and is helping with the probe. The potential that the woman may have been struck by another vehicle prior to this collision and that driver was not there when responding cops arrived is also being investigated.
At this point, it is assumed that the motorist was not impaired by alcohol or drugs. The investigation is still ongoing.
