Fresno, CA – An impaired driver kills a man in a traffic accident, says the CHP
FRESNO, CA – According to the California Highway Patrol, a three-vehicle collision in Fresno Friday afternoon resulted in two injuries and one fatality.
According to CHP, a 66-year-old male was traveling south on Elm Avenue near American Avenue at around 4:00 p.m. when he started to merge into the northbound lane onto oncoming traffic. The man struck a sedan directly in the head.
Major injuries were sustained by the sedan’s driver, who later died from them after being taken to a nearby hospital, according to authorities.
The third car, which was following the sedan and attempted to escape the collision but ended up driving into a ditch, was also involved, according to CHP. They suffered only minor wounds.
According to the police, the drunken man suffered just minor wounds and will be arrested once he has been given the all-clear by his doctor.
